These two utilities go together. You can use InCtrl or System Mechanic in place of RegShot if you already have one of them.

RegShot is a small registry compare utility that allows you to quickly take a snapshot of your registry and then compare it with a second one - done after doing system changes or installing a new software product. The changes report can be produced in text or HTML format and contains a list of all modifications that have taken place between snapshot1 and snapshot2.In addition, you can also specify folders (with sub filders) to be scanned for changes as well. In version 1.60+ you can save your whole registry in a *.hiv file for future use.

Note: Regshot is a FREEWARE!

"Thank you for trying UNDOReg!

NOTE: This Win95/98/NT (or higher) freeware program is provided as is and without any guarantees of any kind. It may be freely distributed, but not modified in any way.

*** DESCRIPTION ***

When you install a new program, the installation utility adds new data to your system registry, often UNREMOVED after the uninstallation. You can have a record of exactly what the install program did using:

- RegShot

- InCtrl 4.1

- InCtrl 5

- System Mechanic

UNDOReg analyzes the report generated by one of these utilities, and deletes referenced registry keys.

*** USAGE ***

Click on "Open Report" and choose a TXT report generated by RegShot, InCtrl 4.1/5, System Mechanic.

Alternatively, create a shortcut to "Undoreg.exe" and put it into your "Windows\SendTo" folder. You can then right-click on any TXT report file and choose:

[Send To] --> [Undoreg.exe]
