Welcome to PC Restrictor! PC Restrictor is designed to quickly give an administrator a high level of control over personal computers running the Windows 95/98 operating system. PC Restrictor allows an administrator to enable or disable specific areas of functionality within the OS. Please understand that the Windows 95 and Windows 98 operating systems are not designed for security! PC Restrictor's security can easily be defeated by a highly experienced user. This is due to the design of the operating system, NOT problems with PC Restrictor. The reason this is mentioned here is so that unreasonable faith is not placed in the security measures provided by PC Restrictor. If you desire a highly secure operating system look into Linux, Unix, Windows NT, or Windows 2000. Windows ME is based off of the same design as Windows 95/98 and therefore will also be prone to security vulnerabilities.
