Description: Extended Character Map is like the Windows Character Map utility but uses much bigger, easier-to-see characters. The utility is especially useful for viewing the pictures in a symbol or Dingbat font. Characters can be seen up to 100pt size. No more squinting at Webding characters trying to figure out "is that a race car or a textile factory?". The keystroke name is displayed in the program's status bar. The Decimal/Hex/Oct/Binary values are also displayed. Additionally, you can view the fonts with one or more attributes selected (Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikeout). Using ExtendedCharacterMap, any character or series of characters can be quickly copied to the clipboard.

Description: AllChars is a tool that makes non-keyboard characters (accents, typos, currency symbols, etc.) easily accessible within any Windows application. Just type the Ctrl-key followed by two characters that in combination specify the character. AllChars also supports macros. You can type short names, resulting in AllChars sending long text bits to your application. Support for macros include secure macros for logins, insert date/time strings and more. NOTES: If you have problems with v3.6.2, install the v3.6.3 patch.

Description: Programmer's File Editor (PFE) is a large-capacity text file editor, oriented towards those who use Windows as their program development environment, and so incorporates many features that make it a convenient work management system. Although it's primarily oriented to program development, it makes a very powerful general editor for any purpose at all. PFE's capacity is essentially limited only by the total amount of memory available on your system. There are no editor-imposed limits on the number of files that you can edit simultaneously, nor on the number of edit windows that you may have open. There is no limit on the size of file that can be handled, and none on the number of lines that a file may contain. PFE adheres strictly to the Windows MDI conventions. You can invoke most commands and facilities from menus; you can move around with a mouse or with the standard keyboard shortcuts; you can cut and paste from the clipboard, and so on. COMMENTS: Works well on XP Home too.

EditPad fully supports double byte character systems (DBCS) so you can edit texts written in Far East languages, such as Chinese, Japanese or Korean, as easily as those written in European languages.
