It provides a real-time capability to monitor all processes and threads, their CPU usage, execution time, etc. It allows you to completely manage the system priority of all running processes and threads. You can set a DPC (Dynamic Priority Controller) which can switch between two defined priorities specifying a time-slice for both. It allows you to know which are the system handles opened by all processes. You can spy on and control all system windows. ATM offers even a built-in CPU cooling function. It is based on the x86 HLT instruction which is called only when the system is idle, so it doesn't affects other tasks. Naturally, you can uncheck it whenever you want.

The overall uncertainty in this comparison should be no worse than +/- 5 seconds under all circumstances and will be substantially less than this value in most cases. Description: E4M is an on-the-fly disk encryption product. What this means is create a volume on your hard disk, CDROM, floppy or other media which is essentially just a normal file. The file however is in fact a file system itself. It contains all the structures needed by your operating system to recognise the file as a file system of a particular type such as FAT or NTFS. This is called a "file hosted volume". Or you could choose a blank or unwanted partition on a local hard disk or floppy disks and format it using E4M. You can then mount this new encrypted volume, and use it like you would any other drive. This is called a "Raw partition volume". To your operating system, these new volumes will work exactly like your C drive, or any other drive on your system.

Description: GAG (initials, in spanish, of Graphical Boot Manager) is a Boot Manager program. It's loaded when the computer is turned on and allows you to choose the operating system you want to use. Its main features are: Allows boot of up to 9 different operating systems. It can boot operating systems installed in primary and extended partitions on any available hard disk. Can be installed from nearly all operating systems. GAG doesn't need its own partition. It installs itself in the first track of the hard disk, wich is reserved for these kinds of programs. Description: hkSFV is the simply the easiest, most intuitive and automatic way to create or check .SFV and .MD5 files. And, of course, it's completely free. An .SFV file is a tiny list of files and CRCs, which allow you to check to see if the files you have downloaded are exactly what you are expecting. The CRC algorithm used in .SFV files allows you to see if the file you have has been changed, even a single byte, since the .SFV file was created. .MD5 uses the md5 algorithm to compute its checksums, rather than the crc32 method used by .SFV. The md5 algorithm is almost as fast as crc32, but it is much more accurate at detecting changes in files.

Description: The Renamer takes and enhances the idea of editing files in directory in a full featured Text editor and then writing all the changes at once into the files. Open Renamer, select directory and the files will appear in the File Name Editor which is a normal full featured text editor with some additional changes (f.e. you can't add or delete [a line or enter invalid characters in a filename]). You can use all the editor functions like Quick find, Replace, multiple Undo/Redo, Macros and of course normal editing [as well as various tools like Upper Case/Lower Case or sequential numbering]. Each file is on a new line and [you] can easily move with arrows like in a normal text. When the files you wanted to rename are done simply click Apply Changes and all files will be physically renamed. COMMENTS: Sometimes the easiest way to change filenames is just to directly edit them. If the changes are repetitive, then use the keyboard macro feature. The Renamer offers minimal help as part of the site description, but if you know how to use an editor, who needs more? Oscar's File Renamer is the most intuitive renamer of the bunch.

Description: CVS (Concurrent Versions System) is a tool used by many software developers to manage changes within their source code tree. CVS provides the means to store not only the current version of a piece of source code, but a record of all changes (and who made those changes) that have occurred to that source code. Use of CVS is particularly common on projects with multiple developers, since CVS ensures changes made by one developer are not accidentally removed when another developer posts their changes to the source tree. TortoiseCVS lets you work with files under CVS version control directly from Windows Explorer. It's freely available under the GPL. With TortoiseCVS you can directly check out modules, update, commit and see differences by right clicking on files and folders within Explorer. You can see the state of a file with overlays on top of the normal icons within Explorer. It even works from within the file open dialog. You can perform tagging, branching, merging and importing, and you can go directly to a browser web log (using ViewCVS or CVSWeb) on a particular file.

Description: TrueCrypt is a software system for establishing and maintaining an on-the-fly-encrypted volume (data storage device). On-the-fly encryption means that data is automatically encrypted or decrypted right before it is loaded or saved, without any user intervention. No data stored on an encrypted volume can be read without using the correct password or encryption key. Until decrypted, a TrueCrypt volume appears to be nothing more than a series of random numbers. The entire file system is encrypted (i.e., file names, folder names, contents of every file, and free space). TrueCrypt never writes decrypted data to any storage device (it only temporarily writes data being decrypted to RAM).
